Microsoft’s search engine Bing is to launch a new event-planning feature that will make it easier to organise nights out. Bing Events – the name of the new social planning tool – is a further attempt to raise the stakes in Bing’s battle with Google for search engine dominance. Google currently retains the vast majority of the UK search market, however.

Search Engine News: Google doesn’t have all the answers.
At least that was the response from travel search-engine sites as they caught their first glimpse of a competing product launched by Google last week.
It’s never a good sign for your business when one of the world’s largest companies buys your chief supplier and seeks to muscle in on your turf.
So it’s understandable why many travel engines — including Travelocity, Expedia and Kayak — suffered angst when Google proposed last year to buy ITA Software, the company that developed and provides their fare-search technology.

To quickly add color and elegance to any part of your home, put a vase of fresh flowers. Some people choose to grow them in their garden, adding beauty to both indoor and outdoor areas. Fresh flowers are also an excellent choice for a gift for any occasion. Bouquets of fresh flowers are a perfect ‘extra touch’ to any home or office. What goes against fresh flowers is that their vibrant colors fade as the plants wilt.
Luckily, there are ways you can keep flowers looking fresh for a longer period. First, make sure flowers are placed in lukewarm water, unless they are bulb varieties, which require cold water instead. The water they’re in should be changed every two days. Many people just add a small bit of water to top off the vase, which will not preserve the freshness. Also, keep fresh flowers away from fruits and out of direct sunlight. [click to continue…]
